On major online shopping sites in Japan, the top-ranked supplements are ones that lack evidence (scientific backing), do not guarantee the quality of ingredients, have not undergone safety testing, or contain ingredients that are not approved as food products.
Shimpei Wakai, CEO of Onakalacto, Inc., had strong doubts about the state of the supplement market. His desire to “deliver products with solid evidence and proven safety to customers” grew stronger, leading him to found Onakalacto, Inc.
